We know it best,
so we build it right
Changing what solar can be in Korea
What E&I solution stands for
Ownership
We build every plant as if it were ours
We do not cut corners on design, permitting or construction. E&I solution operates plants of its own, so we know an owner's concerns precisely and raise them before you have to.
Shared gain
A structure where everyone earns more together
We do not chase the gain in front of us. We know what an owner needs, so we work to make sure everyone who builds with E&I solution takes more away from it.
Where we are headed (VPP)
What comes next in solar: plants connected
We are building a virtual power plant (VPP) platform that ties the plants we operate into one and takes them into the electricity market. It carries the same idea of shared gain, so the whole industry grows together.
As the plants add up,
so does the company
The plants the company owns and operates grew from 1 in 2017 to 8 in 2025.
8 plants
| Year completed | Plants owned |
|---|---|
| 2017 | 1 plant |
| 2019 | 1 plant |
| 2021 | 4 plants |
| 2024 | 4 plants |
| 2025 | 8 plants |
One plant cannot do this
together we can
We are preparing a virtual power plant (VPP), which ties small scattered plants into one so they can take part in the electricity market. It keeps surplus midday solar from being thrown away and puts more of it onto the grid, and each plant earns an extra settlement when its forecast turns out to be accurate. We are looking for plants to join us, and we contact the people who tell us they are interested first.
What is a virtual power plant (VPP)?
It is a plant made of many plants. Software ties scattered plants together, tells the market in advance how much they will generate tomorrow, and adjusts them together when the grid needs it. One plant cannot do this on its own.
Will it reduce the income I get now?
No. Income from selling power stays with the plant's owner, and an extra settlement is added when the forecast is accurate.
Do I lose money when the forecast is wrong?
Nothing is deducted. In the hours the forecast missed there is simply nothing added.
Can a plant already contracted with KEPCO join?
Yes. It has to move to trading through the Korea Power Exchange and have its meter replaced, and we guide you through that part.
The generation forecasting scheme may end once the renewable bidding market extends to the mainland. If it does, we will explain the new scheme at that point.
