Self-consumption

Use the empty space on factory roofs and building rooftops to supply your own daytime power. Buying much less from Korea Electric Power Corporation holds your fixed costs down every month, and we match you to Korea Energy Agency subsidy schemes to keep the installation cost low.

What is self-consumption solar?

Solar goes on the roof of your factory or building and the electricity it makes is used on site. Making the power you need during the day brings your electricity bill down, and only the surplus or the shortfall goes through the grid, so the whole thing runs sensibly.

A saving on the first month's bill

From the first month it runs, you buy less power from the grid. It holds your fixed costs steady against electricity prices that rise every year.

A government subsidy toward the installation

Under the Korea Energy Agency building support scheme, installations of 200 kW or less receive up to KRW 525,000 per kW. Factories and RE100 companies can be supported up to 1 MW.

Based on the 2026 notice. The terms can change with each year's notice.

Counts toward RE100 and export rules

Power you generate and use yourself counts as official renewable energy use. It answers the RE100 requirements coming from global supply chains and large customers, and export rules such as the carbon border adjustment mechanism (CBAM).

Not enough roof, or solar is difficult here?

E&I solution is an accredited energy service company (ESCO). We can look at replacing ageing factory equipment with high-efficiency units, funded through the government's low-interest energy rationalization fund, to bring the cost of your factory's power down.

Why choose E&I solution?

From the subsidy application to the final certification, all in one place

We take on the whole run: reading the government notice, writing the business plan, local permitting, and the Korea Energy Agency's installation certification after commissioning. You send us the electricity bill and the building register extract, and E&I solution carries the rest of the administration.

Our own engineers for the scheduled checks, and live monitoring in the app

In line with the three-year warranty the government scheme requires, our own engineers visit the site every year at no charge. Through the Generzone app you can see generation and any faults every day.

Roof generation and factory equipment assessed together

We hold both an electrical construction licence and an accredited ESCO registration. You do not have to go to two places for rooftop solar and high-efficiency equipment; both are assessed here.

Step by step

  1. Usage and roof survey

We read your electricity bill to work out daytime usage and survey the roof to size the installation.

  2. Subsidy application

When the Korea Energy Agency notice opens, E&I solution writes and files the application and the technical business plan.

  3. Structural check and safe installation

We check the roof load and the waterproofing thoroughly before installing the mounting structure, the modules and the inverter.

  4. On-site certification and handover

Once the Korea Energy Agency's final on-site certification is passed, the confirmed subsidy is settled.

  5. Three-year warranty and scheduled checks

A three-year warranty comes as standard, and our own team, not a subcontractor, visits the site every year.

The government building support subsidy runs on a limited budget at the start of the year and closes early, first come first served. The feasibility work has to be done beforehand for you to apply as soon as the notice opens.
