E&I solution Co., Ltd. ("the Company") sets out this privacy policy under the Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea, to protect the personal data of the people who use this site and to deal promptly with any complaint about it. If the Company revises this policy, it will post the change on this page.
1. What we collect and how
The Company collects what you enter yourself through the inquiry form and the Generzone launch alert sign-up, together with the automatically collected items below, which are used for visit statistics.
| Basis | Items | Collected when |
|---|---|---|
| Required | Name, contact details, the content of your inquiry | You send the inquiry form |
| Optional | How you found us | You send the inquiry form |
| Required | Email address | You sign up for the Generzone launch alert |
| Automatic | Cookies, IP address, the pages you visit and how long you stay, your device and browser, your approximate location | You visit the site |
Leaving the optional item blank places no limit at all on your inquiry being received or answered. The automatically collected items are used only to produce visit statistics and never to identify an individual. The IP address is used only to estimate location and to keep the hosting server's access log. You can refuse cookies in your browser settings, and refusing them places no limit on your use of the site.
2. Why we use it
- To read your inquiry and reply to it
- To ask for the further material a project assessment needs, and to carry on the consultation
- How you found us, which is optional, is used only as a statistic to gauge which channels work, never to identify an individual
- An email address given for the launch alert is used only to send the Generzone launch announcement
- The automatically collected items are used only as visit statistics, to see which pages are read and how much, never to identify an individual
The Company does not use personal data for any purpose beyond those above, and will obtain your consent in advance if a purpose changes.
3. How long we keep it
Once the purpose of collection and use has been met, the Company destroys the data without delay.
- Inquiry details: one year after the inquiry has been answered
- An email address given for the launch alert: destroyed without delay once the Generzone launch announcement has been sent. If you ask to withdraw before it is sent, it is destroyed immediately
- Automatically collected visit statistics: 14 months from the date of collection
- The hosting server's access log: deleted automatically under the hosting service's retention policy
4. Providing data to third parties
The Company does not provide your personal data to third parties. It may do so only where an investigative authority makes a lawful request under the applicable legislation.
5. Processing entrusted to others
The Company entrusts the processing of personal data as set out below, for running the inquiry form, hosting the site, storing launch alert sign-ups, and analysing visit statistics.
| Processor | Work entrusted |
|---|---|
| Vercel Inc. | Hosting the site and transmitting inquiry and launch alert data |
| Google LLC | Storing inquiries and launch alert sign-ups, and sending the notification email (Google Sheets, Google Apps Script) |
| Google LLC | Analysing visit statistics for the site (Google Analytics) |
When entering into these agreements the Company sets out in the contract what is needed to keep personal data safe, and supervises whether the processor complies. All of the processors above hold their servers outside the Republic of Korea, so the transfer abroad is disclosed separately in section 6.
6. Transfer of personal data abroad
Under Article 28-8 of the Personal Information Protection Act, the Company discloses the personal data transferred abroad as follows.
- Vercel Inc. (United States) The items transferred are what you enter in the inquiry form and the launch alert sign-up, and the access log (IP address, device and browser). They are transmitted over the network when you visit the site or send a form, and are used only to host the site and pass on the form data. They are kept for the periods in section 3.
- Google LLC (United States) The items transferred are your name, contact details, inquiry type, how you found us, the content of your inquiry, and your email address. They are transmitted over the network when you send a form, and are used only to store what was received and to send a notification email to the person handling it. They are kept for the periods in section 3.
- Google LLC (United States) The items transferred are cookies, IP address, the pages you visit and how long you stay, and your device and browser. They are transmitted over the network when you visit the site, and are used only to analyse visit statistics. They are kept for 14 months from the date of collection.
How each processor handles personal data, and how to contact them about it, can be found at policies.google.com/privacy and vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
You may refuse the transfer abroad. For visit statistics, refusing cookies in your browser settings stops the transfer. For an inquiry or a launch alert sign-up, calling us on +82 51-781-0850 instead of using a form means nothing is transferred abroad. The transfer that visiting the site itself requires cannot be refused, so in that case the only way to refuse is not to use the site.
7. Your rights and how to exercise them
You may at any time ask to see your personal data, to have it corrected or deleted, or to have its processing stopped. Contact the officer below in writing or by email and we will act without delay.
